Market gardening campaign
The intervention of the project has brought back to work several
women from the villages who did not practice the cultivation of
vegetables in their gardens due to the lack of
support ; this is the case for the villages of Baghadad and
Loboudou.
For the 2020-2021 campaign, the project
Convenio II provided significant support for the 6 villages, particularly on securing gardens market gardeners, the installation of solar pumps, the system
California irrigation system and training women and their frames.
This support has had an impact on the production,
cultivated area and the number of producers who are
considerably increased.
For comparison
between the two 2019-2020 campaigns and that of 2020-
2021 in the six villages having obtained the means
of existence, we observe increases of 70.45%%
for tomatoes, 61.55% for carrots, 62.07% for
cabbages and 64.42% for aubergines and 62.44% of the
onion production.
